WHOO! Slayers was one of my very first anime obsessions. Over spring break I found a few new issues of the Slayers manga so I've been all happy about that. (For a while all that was out was that stuff with that Naga chick and I don't want anything to do with that--GIMME ZELGADIS NOW). But anyway. I always liked Lina; enough to excuse the pink outfit. She was crazy! And short! And flat-chested! And loved food and treasure! And fireballs!...I guess I can relate XD So FWAH! Lina painter smoosh!
That is one of the craziest, best, most-fitting expressions for Lina I've seen drawn. Awesome work with the spell effects and the lighting from it. *fangirls*
Have you seen the novels? Tokyopop has started translating the original novels that Slayers started from into English. I think 3 of them are out now. Original art and everything's included. ~EugeneCh had a few notes about the first one, and how accurate the translation was (apparently, fairly good).
Its very good. I like the look on her face. I don't know anything about slayers though. The light path from her hand is well done. Im guessing thats the beginning of a fireball.

I saw one of the novels in the bookstore and was kind of confused about what it was XD Haven't read them but hopefully I'll be able to at some point! *_*
Daily Literature Deviations is a group that is dedicated to bringing literature to the forefront of the deviantArt community. We attempt to accomplish this by daily featuring Literature artists from around the community that deserve the recognition, but are not getting it.
Each day we will feature 10 deviations from the Literature categories in a News Article. In order to support the artists that we feature, we ask that you the news article as well as check out the individual pieces. We understand that each day you may not be able to check out each and every one of the pieces, everyone has their own things going on. We just ask that you make an attempt to help support the growing Literature community.
When it comes to community spirit, `Rushy is a shining example. From participating in devmeets, to providing positive encouragement to other artists, `Rushy can always be found demonstrating what it really takes to be a true deviant. It's without any hesitation that we are delighted to award the Deviousness Award for July 2009 to `RushyRead More
