The story here is that Taurus (the guy) plays the lute, but is really bad at it, so Djinn (a genie) is distracting him with her magic so that he doesn't try to play anything ^_^ I think it's working.

I also think that that mossy branch-log is one of my better tree paint jobs o_o

The expressions are simply priceless. I can just imagine Taurus squealing "SHINIES!" while Djinn quietly wonders whether she committed some atrocity in a past life to deserve being stuck with him. On an artistic note, this is (as usual for you) high quality work. The anatomy is perfect as far as I can tell, and the plentiful details really help the scene. I also like the careful use of shadows. My only complaint is fairly minor - the trees in the background just look too... "regular" for lack of a better word. I guess I'm just used to seeing trees that are a little more tangled.

Gah. I saw this, the expression on his face and I'm like, that's me- "OOO! SHINY!". :blush: Er, yah. Otherwise the lighting is spot on and I adore the background, so lush and realistic.
